Painting vases

I’ve never been a perfect painter (although I enjoy it) and then I was inspired by Kacha on YouTube. She does an amazing job every time. I love how she distresses the paintwork so I’ve been giving it a go on some small items. These were a raw sugar colour and were so much fun to transform into grey and white.

Here are two of the vases with hydrangeas and a blossom. I’m no flower arranger but they worked out as I hoped. These two were painted white first and a grey wash put on top then rubbed back. The other pot was painted grey first, then white and rubbed back a bit with sandpaper. It was a great experiment.
