Colour scheme #1

Welcome to the first of many colour schemes to be posted.  I’ve made up my own colour chips in Photoshop using a photo of a stained glass window in a church.  You can see many values of each colour in the chips that you can use in your quilts.

I’ve been captivated by this scheme for years.  I love using a golden orange colour in my quilts as you can use a little more of it than a straight yellow and it’s easier on the eye.  Apart from the purple, it reminds me of a sunny day on a tropical beach.

Have you used this colour scheme?  I made a bargello using these colours many years ago and it’s still one of my favourite quilts to curl up under.

Happy quilting!

Fiona
