Art Deco Table runner 1

In 2010, I realised that I had not yet made a table runner, so set my mind to it. I wanted something to go with wood furniture and had an Art Deco feel about it. This one took two weeks from drafting the pattern to putting the binding on.  The dark border and binding are actually gilded images of Christmas baubles on a black fabric.

Except for the centre which is machine turned appliqué, the rest is machine pieced and quilted.

I posted this quilt on thequiltshow.com and received many lovely comments from quilters around the world!

Size: 21.5″ h x 49″ w
